  • Responsibilities

    SUMMARY

    This position is for an individual motivated by the opportunity to supervise a team of Quality Auditors with the goal of providing accurate, actionable information regarding the current state of Milwaukee Operations Quality. Vital to improving profitability, this associate will be a liaison between the factory floor and the Quality Assurance team so that calculated improvements can be executed swiftly by others.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

    • Supervision
    • Supervise manpower required to support multiple value streams on all 3 shifts in a time and cost efficient manner
    • Develop and maintain skills matrix for quality auditors
    • Communicate effectively with a diverse team to ensure all parties understand the goals
    • Be flexible with start times to accommodate face to face discussions with 2nd and 3rd shift auditors on a regular basis
    • Develop 5S standards for auditor stations and implement layered audits to ensure adherence
    • Quality Data
    • Ensure auditors have all required equipment to perform their tasks
    • Establish a quality culture within the Auditor associates to ensure no defects escape the facility
    • Administer, Train and Monitor SPC and NCR database to proactively identify component quality issues
    • Create Excel and Power point presentations to convey information
    • Identify quality concerns as they arise and notify Quality team associates so that action can be taken

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Directly supervise approximately 15-25 quality auditors on the shop floor in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include creating and maintaining a training matrix, ensuring associates have the tools required to do their work, auditing performance, handling disciplinary actions if required and creating a safe and productive work environment.

     

    • Previous supervisory experience preferred
    • Minimum 2 years working in a stamped metal, casting or injection molding job shop preferred
    • High school diploma or equivalent required but associates degree in a technical field preferred
    • Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from subordinates, peers and managers in English.
    • Knowledge of email etiquette for the professional environment is highly preferred.
    • Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as probability, statistics, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Knowledge of reliability methodologies is a plus.
