  • Responsibilities

    The HR Intern will learn various aspects of the human resource function and support the HR staff with projects and tasks as follows:


    • Providing support for various audits of HR practices, including auto allowance, Sarbanes-Oxley procedures, background checks in our El Paso location, company car driver's license audit, etc.
    • Updating company photo organization charts as employees are hired and leave.
    • Assist employees with replacement ID badges, passwords for Ceridian Self-Service and other employee questions.
    • Place orders for new employee jackets, funeral flowers, baby blankets, retirement gifts.
    • Monitor and track employee service award gift program.
    • Filing of confidential information.
    • Assist with weekly employee orientation program.
    • Assist with company communication monitors.
    • Update social media sites.

    Other projects as assigned.


    Required qualifications:

    • Actively enrolled in a local Human Resource Bachelor's degree program, preferably with a business background.
    • Previous experience with Microsoft software:  Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Experience with social media from a business perspective 
    • Attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
