  • Responsibilities

    The Administrative Technician performs a variety of technical and paraprofessional duties in support of technical, legal, financial and administrative functions. Also assists management and coworkers in reviewing and auditing documents, researching, compiling and reviewing information; develops and maintains databases and spreadsheets. 


    • Assists with the coordination and documentation of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA).
    • Assists with the tracking of patent applications including invention disclosures, Assignments, Declarations, maintenance & annuity fees and monthly legal invoices.
    • Creates Intellectual Property status reports as needed.
    • Interacts with Attorneys of Law in reviewing legal documents such as contracts, NDAs and patent applications and communicates summaries with the appropriate company personnel.
    • Works with internal personnel, third party labs, consultants and regulatory bodies to drive and gain Homologation certification compliance approvals on planned schedules.
    • Manages Homologation compliance of current and future products which includes periodic review of compliance based on geographic market requirements. Manages all Type Approval testing, sample availability and certification activities.
    • Researches, compiles, tabulates, and assembles data; assists in conducting surveys and studies; recommends and implements procedures, guidelines and processes; consults with managers and drafts policies and legal documents. 
    • Prepares statistical and narrative reports, presentations, general and technical correspondence, and promotional materials; develops forms, tracking systems, databases and spreadsheets.  Maintains a variety of records and files
    • Resolves difficult or sensitive customer inquiries or problems, advises company on complex rules, policies and procedures; responds to inquiries from employees and the customer.  
    • Researches information, organizes, evaluates and compiles results and prepares detailed summaries, tracks progress of projects and payments expenditures and reimbursements.  
    • Assists in the administration and coordination of special projects and related training including those for confidential and sensitive materials.
    • Provides exceptional customer service to those contacted in the course of work. 
    • Other related duties may also be performed; not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual holding this classification.





    Knowledge of: 

    • Basic principles of technical and statistical report preparation.  
    • Basic principles and practices of research and statistical methods.  
    • Modern office practices and procedures.  
    • Record keeping and reporting practices.  
    • Basic principles and techniques of finance and purchasing.  
    • Basic techniques of project and program management.

    Ability to: 

    • Interpret and follow a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
    • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.  
    • Collect, compile, organize, analyze, and interpret documents and data.  
    • Define problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. 
    • Understand, interpret, edit, and apply rules, regulations, laws, and ordinances.  
    • Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
    • Effectively present information and respond to questions from associates, managers and customers.
    • Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work.  
    • Work on multiple projects that are different in scope such as technical engineering, quality testing, benchmarking, and regulations.
    • Use computer applications and software.
    • Able to compile, sort, and summarize data numerically and graphically using MS Excel and other software tools
    • Use hand tools and to assemble/disassemble small products



    Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two year college or technical school and 3 or more years related experience and/or training.
