  • Responsibilities


                Non-supervisory process engineer performing various duties related to production support.  Qualification and optimization of new and existing processes. 



    • Responsible for the design and installation of systems for process improvement
    • Responsible for run off of new equipment and associated tooling
    • Responsible for programing robot arms and die cast machines.
    • Facilitates in problem-solving activities, utilizing process models and statistical techniques.
    • Facilitate production support activities such as training, continuous improvement, equipment and quality troubleshooting.
    • Responsible for the development of layouts, drawings, specifications, test methods, process flow diagrams, FMEA’s and control plans.
    • Should be familiar with AIAG format for above documentation
    • Coordinates production launch for new programs to ensure smooth transition and minimal problems
    • Assists on larger, more complex assignments under appropriate supervision
    • Leads, defines and coordinates continuous improvement for scrap, product flow, costs or manufacturing set-up issues.
    • Represent process engineering in facilitating and coordinating the component advanced product planning, including capital requisitions.
    • Completion of process validation activities.
    • Work closely with production employees including set up, inspectors and supervisors.
    • Monitor and improve the performance of process equipment as related to OEE.
    • Create documents and processes to provide the hourly workforce with the best tools to succeed in manufacturing objectives
    • Assist quality department with the PRP process. Utilizing tools such as DOE, 8D and 5 why.

    EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE :                                        

    -Bachelor’s Degree in engineering required.

    -5 yrs. manufacturing industry experience.

    -3 yrs. experience in casting is preferred.

    -Previous automotive quality systems experience preferred.

    -Project management experience preferred.

    -Self motivated

    -Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    -Excellent computer skills including MS Office Products

    -Ability to advise, teach, explain and present development concepts.

    -Proven planning and organizational skills are required

    -Familiar with AIAG documentation requirements

    -Read, create, analyze and interpret complex documentation, prints, periodicals, journals, etc.

    -Proven problem solving abilities, methodology.
