  • Responsibilities

    The Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist position is an entry level position. The primary responsibility for this position is to implement CI Projects and maintain sustainable solutions.  The CI Specialist will need to learn and implement lean tools, and be able to identify and eliminate waste.  This position will be a champion in 6S, Kaizen and other CI initiatives. Responsibilities include:

    • Plan and facilitate Kaizen and 6S events
    • Sustain current and future CI initiatives
    • Analyze data and make recommendations based on the results
    • Become an expert at problem solving and help drive Root Cause Analysis
    • Perform Muda Walks and build a CI project portfolio
    • Work with cross functional teams to improve processes
    • Implement Lean methodologies across the organization
    • Maintain an Action Register and monitor all control plans
    • Develop new processes, designs or procedures to improve KPI’s
    • Manage the suggestion program
    • Other CI activities as assigned
    • Willingness to have continued education in related tools



    • A 4 year college degree in Business Operations/Engineering, or a certification/associate’s degree with at least 2 years of experience
    • Above average Computer skills in Microsoft office
      • Exel-Pivot tables and graphing, data analysis
      • Power Point – Presentation creation and presentation skills
    • Must be able to work independently with limited direction and supervision
    • Prior experience with Continuous Improvement Projects Preferred
