STRATTEC Security Corporation is a world-leader in designing and manufacturing vehicle access systems (keys, key fobs, push-to-start and passive entry systems, power lift gates, power sliding doors, steering column locks) and we supply to all of the major automakers.


The Maintenance and Facilities Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining a best in class maintenance program to ensure maximum asset availability at the most efficient operating cost structure. Additionally, the Assets and Facility Manager oversees and ensures compliance with the environmental and safety systems for the Milwaukee facility.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Maintenance and Facilities

  • Manage all maintenance and facilities personnel
  • Provide maintenance skilled trades support to Production Department
  • Develop and maintain predicative maintenance program
  • Interface with consultants to implement improvement plan as needed

  • Establish and maintain KPIs for report out on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Maintain buildings and grounds
  • Oversee equipment and building improvements and additions

  • Manage plant security contractors
  • Develop capital and expense budgets for maintenance
  • Ensure project are completed on time and within budget
  • Support new construction/improvements for plant



  • Manage Health & Safety Program
  • Implement best-in-class safety systems, such as near-miss programs
  • Conduct ergonomic review of at-risk positions to reduce repetitive motion injuries


Environmental Compliance

  • Manage and ensure compliance to environmental standards
  • Assist in installation of new plating capabilities and technologies
  • Develop additional personnel to assist with increasing environmental reporting and compliance requirements





Manages personnel who supervise hourly associates within the department.  Managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.





QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
  • A minimum of 7 years previous leadership experience managing union and non-union workforce across multiple trades
  • Experience managing, creating and presenting KPIs to measure and track performance
  • Fluent using Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong communication skills to support cross-functional objectives
  • Established project management skills for implementation of capital projects
  • Experience managing health and safety personnel and programs.
